Sponsor The Team
The Cal Poly Pomona Equestrian Team is a student run organization that competes in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). IHSA consists of over 350 colleges and more than 7,500 riders, making it the world's largest intercollegiate equestrian organization. Any student can join the team and owning a horse or having experience is not required since the team uses our coaches horses for lessons, which are used during practices and competitions. The unique design of our team gives students the opportunity of learning about, riding, and showing horses even if they have never been presented with the possibility in the past. The Cal Poly Pomona Equestrian Team competes in Western Horsemanship, Reining, and Hunt Seat flat and fences in shows throughout the West Coast, nearly always sending individuals or a team on to Nationals.
Due to the recent budget cuts in the Cal State system, and our team moving off campus, it is difficult for our team to purchase services and items that are essential to our functioning. This includes many of the expenses the team will incur when sending riders to competitions, as well as paying for coaches and judges all while showcasing our hard work. While we do fundraise throughout the year, we rely on donations and sponsorships to keep our horses happy and healthy, and to send our riders to represent our school at Semi-Finals and Nationals. Therefore, the Cal Poly Pomona Equestrian Team is seeking your support.

If you would like to donate items please email us with the item you are planning to donate and we'll help coordinate with you to get you a receipt and arrange where you can drop off your donated item(s).

Rider Sponsorship

While the goal of the IHSA circuit and our team is to provide a more affordable opportunity to work with and show horses, many of our collegiate athletes need financial support in order to achieve their goals. In addition to the living expenses and tuition our students are paying, our riders pay dues semesterly to be part of the team and must pay for show fees out of pocket as well as additional costs for travel and apparel expenses. Most of our riders are are in at least 7 shows a year and some of our riders are in two disciplines meaning their costs are doubled. While we keep these costs very reasonable compared to industry norms, we realize that not everyone can fit these into their budgets and do not believe that personal finances should prevent any of our riders from being able to pursue their aspirations. So that riders have the opportunity to build upon their equine knowledge and skills and showcase this in our competitions, we offer the opportunity for them to seek individual sponsorship to cover their expenses.
These expenses include:

Anything more than a Full sponsorship will gain the benefits of the full sponsorship plus a team photo signed by the rider.

If you would like to sponsor a rider please email us and include the name of the rider you are seeking to sponsor and what type of sponsorship you would like to donate. If you don't have a specific rider in mind we will put all the names in a lottery to win.
