IHSA
Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association - IHSA
The Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) has welcomed all genders and riding levels since it was founded in 1967. At more than 400 member colleges and universities this unique program offers individual and team competition in Hunter seat equitation, Western horsemanship, Ranch Riding, and Reining.
With more than 10,000 members in 47 states and territories including Canada, IHSA is the oldest and largest intercollegiate equestrian organization.
Through IHSA riders from all backgrounds and skill levels have the opportunity to compete individually or as a team at regionals, zones, and national levels. IHSA was founded with the ideology that any college student should have the ability and opportunity to participate in equestrian competition, regardless of skill, financial status or gender.

The IHSA emphasizes sportsmanship and team work, by welcoming riders in their first year of riding all the way up to students who have years of competition experience. IHSA focuses on developing and providing hands-on experience and professional development throughout the industry. All while eliminating the expense of owning and transporting horses and puts competition within financial reach of college and university students.

Through the IHSA, students enhance their college experience and develop the tools that help to build successful careers.

Hunt Seat
Our Hunt seat team is comprised of English disipline riders who have a passion for equitation. Showing Huntseat focuses on judging the riders form and position and not the horse, like they do for Jumpers and Hunters. In Hunt Seat, riders will usually have a crop or spurs and have the opportunity to go over fences on an English saddle.

Western
Our Western team is comprised of riders with a passion for the western pleasure discipline, focusing on proper western equitation. Western also has ranch and reigning, which are two different types of the western discipline you can compete in.
